George W. Bush gives Michelle Obama candy at father's funeral

As the 72-year-old Bush arrived at the National Cathedral for the state funeral for his father - the 41st U.S. president - he shook hands with President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania.

The reception for First Lady Melania was lukewarm, but the chilly lack of a greeting for Donald Trump was palpable, reports USA Today.

Bush appeared to hand former first lady Michelle Obama something at his father's funeral, recreating a moment from Sen.

According to the spokesperson who worked for George H.W. Bush post-presidency, while making plans for the services, the president asked, "Do you think anyone will come?"

"So we're together all the time, and I love him to death".
