Hawkeyes still ranked in Week 11 CFP Rankings

Syracuse (7-2, 4-2 Atlantic Coast) rose to No. 13 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings following a 41-24 victory over Wake Forest in Winston-Salem on Saturday.

Alabama has been ranked in the top 5 for 49 straight weeks, the second longest streak to Miami's 55 weeks from October 8, 2000-Oct. Ohio State rounds out the top ten.

Alabama entered the week as the unquestioned No. 1 team in the country, followed by Clemson.

Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame and MI hold the top four spots in this week's rankings, followed by Georgia at No. 5.

All those ranked teams losing propelled a few teams to new heights in the Top 25. Following them, you have undefeated Notre Dame and a bunch of other one-loss teams.

According to ESPN's Football Power Index, there is just a 9 percent chance that the top four teams in the CFP rankings will all win out.

Finally, according to the Sagarin ratings, West Virginia has played the 45th most-difficult schedule in the country. The Fighting Irish are just ahead of MI based on a head-to-head matchup, won by Notre Dame 24-17. "Bottom line is pretty much every team that's in there, if they win, they are in, because a lot of them are going to play each other".

The Buckeyes found out last season that getting hammered by a team that finished the regular season 7-5 is deal-breaker with the committee when it comes time to make a tough choice.
