Bears rout turnover-prone Bills 41-9

Things aren't looking much better for Peterman in today's game against the Chicago Bears. Trubisky found tight end Trey Burton for a 26-yard gain on third-and-15 to open the second quarter, the Bears' longest offensive play of the game, and four plays later Howard scored on a 1-yard run. As in, how can you ask the Bears, who have made the playoffs exactly one time since making the Super Bowl in the 2006 season, if there's a risk in being overconfident going into Buffalo this week?

Last week, the Bears (4-3) beat the Jets 24-10.

But, even though the Bears were outgained 264-190 in a game they won comfortably, the offense made enough big plays to feel like it did its part.

Nathan Peterman's struggles as starting QB of the Buffalo Bills remains the butt of jokes in the NFL.

Peterman threw three interceptions in his first start since a 47-3 season-opening loss at Baltimore.

The Bills then signed QB Derek Anderson off the street and promptly started him a week after signing him, only for Anderson to suffer an injury too.

Peterman continued playing down to his turnover-prone reputation, though two of the interceptions weren't entirely his fault.

On some good throws by Peterman, the ball just failed to be caught by players like Kelvin Benjamin and Terrelle Pryor.

The Bills have been outscored 157-46 in their past six. Peterman has thrown 10 interceptions on 84 attempts in eight career appearances. The more interesting notes might be who didn't have a chance to make much of an impact, like running back LeSean McCoy.
