Arsene Wenger rubbishes links to AC Milan

The report claimed that the team owners are the ones who are pushing for Wenger to be at the helm and that intense talks have been going on for the past weeks.

Arsene Wenger labelled reports he was close to becoming AC Milan's new manager as "fake news".

Thus suggesting that Solari is set to be named the club's next permanent manager in compliance with Spanish FA regulations, with time running out to seal the deal.

Interestingly, former Arsenal and Milan man Mathieu Flamini stated on Tuesday that his old boss would be a flawless fit for the Serie A side should the move have come to pass.

"I'll be somewhere early next year but I do not know where, I got a good rest".

Wenger left Arsenal at the end of last season after his side finished sixth in the league last season.

However, talking to beIN SPORTS, Wenger dismissed the rumours out of hand.

The 69-year-old's name has continually been linked with top European clubs, including Real Madrid after they sacked Julen Lopetegui last month, but he indicated on Tuesday that his return to management may not be imminent.

"I cannot master the rumours, I can only master what I do in my life".

"At the moment I can't tell you about my future because I don't know". I don't want to lie and that's why I can't give you any information.
