All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert’s death the result of "an accident"


All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert allegedly died due to an accident at his home in CT, according to a report by TMZ.

On All That Remains' Facebook page, the band wrote they were "devastated to learn that Oli Herbert" had passed away.

The post continued, "Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast".

An autopsy performed by the CT medical examiner on Wednesday, Oct. 17, will determine the musician's cause of death.

Oli was one of the founding members of All That Remains, and was the band's lead guitarist since their formation in 1998. Thoughts and prayers go out to the other members of the band, as well as Oli's friends and family. However, at the time of this writing, the police reportedly do not believe Herbert's death is suspicious.

"Hello everyone this is Beth, Oli's widow", she wrote on Facebook.

Herbert's death has caused shockwaves within the rock and metal community, with artists uniting to pay tribute to the musician on social media.

'In the meantime, please respect our privacy as there are still relatives being informed of Oli's passing.

Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Johannes Eckerström of Avatar, and Doc Coyle of Bad Wolves were among the many musicians remembering Herbert on Twitter.

His final album with the band, Victim Of The New Disease, is set for release on 9th November.

Earlier today, Herbert's publicist simply stated "Oli Herbert passed away yesterday unexpectedly as a result of an accident which occurred on the property of his home". All my love to his family and to everyone in the band.
