Xbox is strangely keeping its "Greaseproof" controller limited edition

Massively popular battle royale shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds left the Xbox One Game Preview program on schedule on september 4, with an update that brings the game from early access beta to its full release.

Along with being greaseproof this one-of-a-kind Xbox controller is also scratch and water-resistant.

The PUBG 1.0 update brings several important additions to the Xbox One version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, including the 4 km x 4 km Sanhok map.

PUBG is now available in its full release version on both PC and Xbox One. David Milner, from Games Informer, pointed out "Is it just me or does the Xbox "chicken dinner" greaseproof controller look... kinda greasy?" Xbox Australia took the opportunity to celebrate the occasion, though they went about it in a truly unique way with a grease-proof Xbox One controller.

The idea behind introducing this Greaseproof XBox Controller is basically a tribute to rejoice the 1.0 update of PUBG on XBox One meaning the game has now officially released on the console. As CNET notes, this refers to polyurethane, which is used in plastics and sealants, not the urethane that's used as an animal aesthetic, thankfully.

Each controller is individually numbered, and only 200 are being made globally.

The map features a wide variety of features to allow players to practice all aspects of the game, including vehicles, parachutes, weapons and more.
