Tottenham Hotspur without Dele Alli and Hugo Lloris against Liverpool

Van Dijk, who joined Liverpool from Southampton as the world's most expensive defender in January, has been a revelation for Jurgen Klopp's men ever since he made his debut at the club.

He missed Spurs' 2-1 defeat at Watford before the global break and France's Nations League matches against Germany and the Netherlands.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk has claimed that he is in pristine condition to face Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in the Premier League after returning to Melwood from worldwide duty.

Speaking at his prematch news conference, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said Alli had a hamstring problem while Lloris could be out for several weeks with a thigh injury.

Michel Vorm will deputise for captain Lloris, who this week pleaded guilty to drink-driving in London and was fined £50,000.

Asked if the World Cup victor would remain as captain, Pochettino said: "Of course".

"He is the first to regret about everything and all that happened is not good".

"He [Alli] suffered a small injury after 20 minutes of the game against Spain at Wembley", he said.

"We are disappointed because we are going to miss him for this game and maybe against Inter in the Champions League".

'Of course he doesn't feel great.

"The drop in quality below them, if there are injuries or playing Wednesday, Saturday, I think it will take its toll". He made a mistake and is suffering, and is punishing himself.

Tottenham head to the game following a 2-1 defeat against Watford in their last game, while Liverpool won 2-1 against Leicester City. Sadly, they didn't win a title, but now we try to make a step forward and win honours.
