Rather than focus on E3 in June, Nintendo holds its own event, Nintendo Direct, in September.

On top of access to online play and a library of classic NES games, one of the perks of subscribing to the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service is "special offers" available exclusively for members.

These cool retro controllers for the Switch console look a lot like the originals. While we wait for more details on that, head down to the comments section and tell us what you think about Isabelle's debut in Super Smash Bros. However they won't be available to everyone and they won't work in all games. [Nintendo Entertainment System games] also use the Save Data Cloud, so the same applies.

The NES controllers cost $60 for two and will begin shipping in December, and will be available to pre-purchase starting on September 18.

It'll cost $549.95 when it launches on November 9th (the game code won't activate until December 7th) and will include branded Joy-Con controllers as well as a dock.

In addition to the above hardware releases, quite a few big name games for the Switch were revealed. As Polygon reports, these are rather old games, but FF10.2 remastered should spruce up the visuals in at least one instance. We don't know anything about it yet, but Nintendo says it'll be here next year.
