Overzealous fans attacked the singer's social media, eager to find somewhere to place blame for their anguish over the loss of one of hip-hop's top talents in his prime, prompting Ariana to close her Instagram comments. He also said that "There was no one in [Mac's] life more ready to go to the wall for him when it came to him being sober,".

He added: "Every time someone close to me passes away I always text their phone and, I don't know why I do this often, I just wrote 'I love you man, ' and I knew he wasn't going to write back but I just felt like I had to do it anyway". "How do I help", "what do I do?"' "Because whether he's an addict or not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy".

Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick on January 19, 1992, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, died at the age of 26-years-old of an apparent overdose. The couple split in April after two years of dating. He was found unresponsive around noon on Friday, September 7, in a bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Now TMZ reports that as a result of his death, the Los Angeles City Attorney has been forced to drop a DUI case against him.
