Chelsea Manager Maurizio Sarri Makes Shock Liverpool Confession After West Ham Draw

Maurizio Sarri does not think Chelsea will be at the same level as Liverpool for another year following their underwhelming 0-0 draw at West Ham.

'We have started to work together 40 days ago, less 10 days for the global break, so for us it is a bit early. Less if you include the global breaks.

Felipe Anderson was quick to seize on a loose ball and played in Antonio, who blasted over with his left foot. "We have to work, we need to improve, and maybe in one year we will be on that level".

The Premier League match between West Ham and Chelsea will be broadcast live on NBCSN. "The draw is not a bad point but if we took those chances we could have got three".

"But after we didn't qualify for the Champions League [last season], it is clear that now the target is to be competitive again in the Premier League, to be as close as possible to the title and try to fight for it".

Sarri also refused to use Europa League fatigue as an excuse after Chelsea's ideal start to the season ended.

"It will be a really hard match.

I don't know why they lost their first four matches in the Premier League". In this period, it's not a big problem.

Who will come out on top in the battle of the managers Manuel Pellegrini or Maurizio Sarri? So I don't know.

Below are some of their reactions to the West Ham man's performance.

"If you play in the Europa League away, not at home, away, you can ask to play on Monday night after". Maybe now [they are] in confidence after they won away against Everton.

Despite the missed chances and the dropped points, there are plenty of positives to be taken from West Ham's display and they will be looking to build on the four points they've picked up in their last two matches.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored goals within three minutes of each other early in the second half at Emirates Stadium.

Portuguese worldwide Joao Moutinho is one of Mendes's many clients to arrive at Molineux and curled his first goal for the club into the top corner to earn a deserved point.

He said: "Rudiger? I want to speak with the doctor".

Chelsea's Marcos Alonso (L) vies for the ball with West Ham's Andriy Yarmolenko during their scoreless draw.

Better in the second half. It was just getting us to gel together, obviously signing nine players at the beginning of the season and a new manager, it was always going to be hard. "Hazard in the last 25 minutes did very well, more on the right than the left, but it was very hard for the striker and the two wingers".

While for a midweek tie at Anfield in the Carabao Cup both teams could field much-changed lineups, the top-flight meeting at Stamford Bridge on Saturday is already eagerly anticipated, though Sarri is wary of the threat that will be posed by Liverpool.

"At that moment of the game Giroud is a great reference point for the teammates, but they were closing those pass trajectories, so I made a decision to bet on Morata, who is a more dynamic player". They have had one more day of rest, but I will see tomorrow morning.
