The $40 optional pass notably includes two bonus games at launch - Assassin's Creed III Remastered and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation Remastered.

During the Japanese Nintendo Direct it was announced Assassin's Creed Odyssey would be released on Switch. Players will learn more about the backstory of the Assassins and why they choose to fight from the shadows.

The Season Pass is included in the Assassin's Creed Odyssey Gold, Ultimate, Spartan and Pantheon Editions and is also available for purchase separately for $39.99.

Story Arc II is titled "The Fate of Atlantis" and takes you to the fabled sunken city where you'll uncover its secrets and face godly creatures in a "surprising saga full with twists and turns" that takes you closer to Greek mythology and the First Civilisation. The arc consists of three episodes, with the first episode releasing in December 2018 and subsequent episodes releasing approximately six weeks apart. Episodes will start arriving in the Spring of 2019, also spaced six weeks apart.

Ubisoft will bring an episodic format to the future content of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey shortly after its release. Both games come with higher resolution textures, a new graphics engine and support for 4K and HDR.

"Gee whizz, I wish I could spend more time playing as Connor and not newer, more interesting characters", said literally no-one ever, and yet here we are with Ubisoft remastering Assassin's Creed III so it can be bundled in with the Assassin's Creed Odyssey Season Pass. Then there will be a variety of in-game events, such as the daily Oikos of the Olympians contracts, and epic ships and mercenaries that will appear on a weekly basis and will need taking down.

Discovery Tour: The educational tool will let players explore the game world in a conflict-free environment and learn about Ancient Greece's monuments, culture and history. New Game Plus is also planned, with updates in the pipeline that will add mythical monsters to defeat, new challenges, and the ability to see how your various narrative choices impact the story.

The latest in the Assassin's Creed line drops for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players on October 5th.
