Xiaomi Mi A2, the Chinese brand's second Android One phone in India, was launched in the country yesterday. Xiaomi is not bringing the Mi A2 Lite to India for now. However, looking at the worldwide pricing of the phone which was announced to be Euro 279 (about Rs 22,500) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Euro 349 (about Rs 28,000) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, it can be said that the phone will sell around the same price point only. The phone will be exclusively available on Amazon starting from Aug 9 at 12noon. Both the camera sensors at the rear have a f/1.8 aperture.
As with other Xiaomi pre-bookings, the Mi A2 pre-order sale today will require the buyers to make the full payment for the handset online as there is no cash on delivery option. The dual camera setup is further assisted by a dual-LED (dual-tone) flash. However, the device looks quite different from the Mi A1 since it now has a near bezel-less design. Xiaomi said that the device will be available on Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home offline stores. The front panel has Corning Gorilla Glass 5.More news: Spider-Man Sequel Will Bring An Avengers Star Back From The Dead

It is backed by a 3,010mAh non-removable battery and comes with a 5V/2A power adapter. Also, the device packs an Adreno 520 GPU. There is no microSD slot or headphone jack. Internationally, Mi A2 was launched in three colours - gold, blue and black and hopefully Xiaomi will be launching the same colors in India as well.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 ships with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. The camera offers AI-powered Portrait Mode and 4K video capture at 30 fps. The front camera comes with a 20 megapixel selfie-camera with f/2.2 aperture. The phone initially launched in China as the Mi 6X, and it is now making its way to the Indian market with the launch which is scheduled to happen at 4 PM today.
