Three DJI Mavic 2 Drones Confirmed After Leak

The Mavic 2 Zoom is said to include a 2X optical zoom lens (24mm - 48mm), while the Mavic 2 Pro features a Hasselblad camera with a 1-inch sensor but no zoom.

Just because Argos has accidentally printed an ad for the Mavic 2 doesn't mean the launch of the new DJI drone is imminent.

An eagle-eyed reader found quite the find: the upcoming DJI Mavic 2 in the latest Argos catalog.

Anyway, what does the leak tell us about DJI's new drones?

We now know there will be at least three models in the new generation of drones, the Mavic 2 Pro, the Mavic 2 Zoom and the Mavic 2 Enterprise. Not only did they confirmed the Mavic Pro 2, they also confirmed a Mavic 2 Zoom. However, it seems to lack a zoom lens.

Pricing and availability have yet to be revealed, but we'll likely know sooner rather than later since Argos chose to include the Mavic 2 already before it was even announced.

It suggested the catalogue offered only a "hint" of the new drone's features. They each have 360-degree collision awareness, but there's no mention of the rumored removable gimbal feature, or what the maximum video recording quality is. As far as other details about the drones, the models should offer up to 31 minutes of flight time, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, top flight speed of 45 miles per hour, and more.

We don't have any information on the pricing for either version. It will be interesting to see what differentiates the two drones from each other in more detail.

In a separate leak, an image has popped up on the German DJI store appearing to show an "Enterprise Edition" Mavic 2.

"This pre-printed catalogue was scheduled before we postponed our "See the Bigger Picture" event", the spokesman continued, adding that the event had been delayed to "ensure we can deliver high-quality, cutting-edge technology to our customers".

We'll have to wait and see, but if all of this comes to fruition there are some big product launches on the way from DJI.
