PUBG launches 'Fix PUBG' website

Today BlueHole Studios opened a website titled "Fix PUBG" dedicated to a roadmap for the implementation of numerous requests made by players in order to improve the popular battle royale game PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. But developer PUBG Corporation hopes to change all that with a new initiative named, appropriately enough, "FIX PUBG".

If it's not cheaters bringing PUBG players down, it's a plethora of bugs according to the game's community.

Still in progress are issues like character optimisation, improving the server tick rate (when players are in close proximity, this rate slows down and can cause delays when picking up items, for example), improved anti-hack and anti-cheat solutions (hello, Sanhok), and faster and smarter matchmaking.

"On the landing page, the team admit that "'Fix The Game' is a phrase that we've been hearing a lot lately". PUBG Corp. said "many of the improvements we'll be making to the PC version will naturally be carried over to the Xbox version of the game as well" and that it's "committed to fixing problems for all our players", so presumably PlayStation 4 players will also benefit. However, we haven't always been able to meet your expectations.

"We're putting out a hotfix today to improve directional sprinting and loading times when entering matches", reads a post from the developer.

Loading, meanwhile, should be handled more efficiently by the game. "So we think its time to do something about it".

This is a continuation of the ping limits PUBG Corp. introduced a while back, but it also includes improvements to the MMR player rating logic that groups players together in the first place.

Quality-of-life improvements are coming to colorblind mode.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds developer PUBG Corp. had promised to publish a roadmap detailing everything the studio will be busy doing in the months to come.
