Paul Pogba staying amid Barcelona links

Manchester United have been linked with a whole host of players in the last few weeks as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

Manchester United will make a decision over potentially selling Paul Pogba to Barcelona over the course of the next 24 to 36 hours, it has been claimed in Italy.

Now, latest reports from The Daily Mirrorclaim that Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, is reportedly set to fly to Manchester in order to try and broker a deal believed to be worth £100 million, that could see Pogba play for Barcelona next season.

Pogba has struggled to find consistency since returning to Old Trafford from Juventus in 2016 but has shown glimpses of his true class and he'll be wanting to step up this term to prevent losing Jose Mourinho's faith.

Pogba would be the final piece of the jigsaw as Barcelona are unrelenting in his pursuit, but it's on the player's part whether to agree to a pay cut or stay put with a higher wage bill.

United are said to have three reasons to have rejected Barcelona's supposed bid for Pogba. "I will not enter to evaluate in lucubrations". "We are Barca and we are open to improve our team".

Valverde's unwillingness to rubbish the rumours have seemingly added fuel to the flame, albeit the probability of this transfer happening still seems extremely low.

World Cup-winning Pogba is back at Carrington after he was allowed an extended break following the tournament in Russian Federation.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Raiola has opted to be in England for talks with United with the transfer window for the Premier League closing on Thursday, August 9.
