Many people buy their phones through their carrier, and having the OnePlus 6T at T-Mobile means that customers could see and try a OnePlus 6T before buying it and get the device with monthly payments through T-Mo.
But according to reports from CNET and PCMag, that could be all set to change. But a "specific" version of the OnePlus 6T is reportedly in the works, with special T-Mobile optimizations, including support for the "Un-carrier's" super-advanced 600 MHz Extended Range LTE technology. This marks the first time that OnePlus will have a US carrier partner for a device launch.
According to the report, T-Mobile would be the exclusive launch carrier for OnePlus in the United States, selling the phone through its retail stores and website. Just like last fall's 5T, the OnePlus 6T is expected to be released five short months after the company's previous high-ender. For US consumers, the bigger story is that this could finally mark the beginning of an official carrier partnership.

The report states that T-Mobile is the exclusive U.S. carrier for this next phone from OnePlus and that they'll sell an optimized version for T-Mobile's network that will be able to take advantage of their 600MHz spectrum. Still, one carrier is better than no carrier, maybe more will join for the OnePlus 7 if all goes smoothly.
Anyway, this is great news for OnePlus.
