NVIDIA announces GeForce Gaming Celebration ahead of Gamescom 2018 with spectacular surprises

Nvidia is apparently holding an event on 20 August 2018, which is dubbed "GeForce Gaming Celebration".

The world's biggest gaming expo, Gamescom 2018, runs August 21-25 in Cologne, Germany.

"There's limited space, so make sure you arrive early".

There is credible reason why the event is said to be the official launch of the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 11 GPU. At the same time, Nvidia has also unveiled many new game graphics advancements, including adaptive ray tracing rendering techniques and a new Adaptive Temporal Anti-Aliasing that will compliment it. In particular it writes "The event will be loaded with new, exclusive, hands-on demos of the hottest upcoming games, stage presentations from the world's biggest game developers, and some spectacular surprises". "Don't worry, it will be livestreamed", the company says.

What "spectacular surprises", you think Nvidia will be bringing to Gamescom 2018? They're the company's highly-anticipated next-generation graphics cards based on its new "Turing" design, ignoring the company's "Volta" design now used in graphics cards for the professional market.

Are you excited for Nvidia's new-gen GPUs? The Nvidia GTX 1180 is going to cost $699 to $749, the Nvidia GTX 1170 is going to be priced at $599, and the GTX 1160 is expected to be priced at $499.

It's still not known, however, whether Nvidia's future graphics cards will use the "GTX 11" series nomenclature - although many expect the company to use it. The email promised that prices of Nvidia's current line would therefore "come down a small bit" to help sell "an abundance of unfinished or unsold 10xx GPUs".
