Jose Mourinho told 29-year-old would bring leadership to Man United

Mauricio Pochettino insists Tottenham's lack of activity in the transfer window isn't a problem because it was just as important to hold onto the club's key players.

Ivan Perisic, the Croatia worldwide, also featured prominently on Mourinho's wish list but it now seems that United's summer transfer business will be restricted to the arrivals of Fred, the injured Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant, signed from Stoke City as a third-choice goalkeeper.

"Do I think he will still be manager of Manchester United this time next year?"

All permanent signings must be completed by the August 9 deadline, but clubs can still sign players on standard loan deals until August 31 at 5pm.

"I am not anxious, I am not sad, I am so happy".

The player himself also appears open to a new challenge but has not commented on the exit rumours since resuming training at Bayern earlier this month. While his hardliner tactics resulted in no new players, it could have been a whole lot worse, if some of the franchise cornerstones weren't extended their contracts, and thus susceptible to leaving the north London club.

"The club is doing an awesome effort to try to finish the stadium as soon as possible, and the lodge finished at the training ground".

"I think this was a chance that we didn't want to lose and we made it". It's a massive effort.

The players Jürgen Klopp has brought in have prompted many in the media to suggest that Liverpool could win the Premier League this summer or finish as a very close second to Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. If we can not improve our squad it's better to keep our squad all together.

"It is hard to believe that we finished second".

"I would go for Alderweireld, all day long because he is suited to the way United play". "He lifted the trophy". That is a fantastic experience for him to translate to our team.

"It's not going to help the Premier League clubs because we're going to compete in Europe and in the Champions League but have 20 days less".

The World Cup changed the mind of everyone. "You can not expect them to be fit".

"The information I have is no", said Mourinho when asked if he would be adding to his squad.

"Some need more time to get fit than others".

The Hammers will start the season without Winston Reid and they look to face an uphill battle to make an impression once again in this campaign.
