Everton Agree Deal to Sign Mina From Barcelona

Everton and Fulham stole the show on the Premier League's transfer deadline day, as both clubs welcomed several eye-catching signings.

'I have watched the Premier League for a long time.

While Bernard was finalising his transfer at Everton's Finch Farm training ground a club delegation led by the director of football, Marcel Brands, concluded deals for Mina and Gomes in Barcelona.

Mina, who was linked with a move to Manchester United for much of the window, arrives a the club in a £30 million deal, providing boss Silva with the defensive lynchpin he has been so desperately craving. When I found out about this opportunity and what the manager wanted out of me I was happy.

"I spoke to Lucas and he told me all about the club, which also made me keen to come here". I know about Everton's players and I look forward to being able to play with my new team. Everton will pay 2.6 million euros for the year's loan.

Barcelona can buy the centre-half back for around £30m if he does well at Goodison but, for now, he is an Everton player.

"FC Barcelona would like to publicly express their thanks to Yerry Mina for his commitment and dedication and wishes him all the best for the future".

Mina joins Everton on a five-year contract for a fee thought to be in the region of £27m, while Gomes jets in on a season-long loan deal.

Barcelona originally purchased the Palmeiras player in January, paying 11.8 million euros, a very small amount considering the prices that were being paid for other centre-backs at the time.
