Doom Eternal turns up the dial because it offers more weapons like the grappling hook and sword. The DOOM Eternal gameplay will be live-streamed for every one of you who can not make it to the main event. People playing as demons will even be able to team up to take down the DOOM Slayer, which is a pretty interesting twist on what has traditionally been a single player franchise. Id hasn't said whether Doom Eternal will have a traditional multiplayer mode like Doom 2016 did, but honestly, this sounds a lot better. Wow, ok, well. Doom Eternal has the flawless new feature for you: Invasions! The gameplay demonstration was constantly queueing up and chewing through new demon types that required their own combat approaches - some returning from the original Doom 2, like the Pain Elemental, others unseen and heretofore unslaughtered.

Speaking to Polygon at QuakeCon 2018, game director Marty Stratton confirmed that post-launch, there will be singleplayer DLC for Doom Eternal. The demons are more elaborate, your guns are more malevolent and the worlds are, according to the developers, 10 times more detailed in terms of geometrics and texture fidelity than the last DOOM game. We learned that a new Elder Scrolls was coming and got a screenshot, and that their first new IP in years was in the works and also got very little on that front. There's also a new dash feature that allows the player to quickly burst forward before slaughtering large groups of demons.

There's no firm release date for Doom Eternal yet, but Bethesda says it'll be available on pretty much every major platform: PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
