Kaz is stationed alongside Poe's longtime friend Jarek Yeager (Legion's Scott Lawrence), a seasoned pilot who runs the fix shop.

Ever since its announcement, Star Wars Resistance has drawn scrutiny because of its chosen animation style, which is inspired by the anime genre.

Always rolling around the periphery is BB-8, supplying vital information as Kaz keeps his true mission secret even from his friends.

A new Star Wars adventure is about to take flight!

When the Resistance selects him to join a top-secret mission to surveil the First Order as the coalition grows more powerful by the day, Kaz boards the enormous aircraft platform called the Colossus and begins his undercover work.

One Twitter user has already slammed the show's design, writing after watching the trailer, "Not a fan of the animation of Star Wars Resistance at all, especially the models used for the faces, looks cheap and unfinished". The show finds Oscar Isaac and Gwendoline Christie reprising their roles as Poe Dameron and Captain Phasma, respectively, but the focus is very much on "Kaz" who lives with Poe's old friend Yeager, a veteran pilot who operates a starship fix shop.

However, some Star Wars loyals are remaining hopeful about the new series.

Star Wars Resistance will land on Stateside Disney channels on 7 October, and rolls out worldwide after that.

With the news that it was bringing back Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I didn't expect the Mouse to premiere Resistance until the middle of 2019, closer to when Star Wars: Episode IX hits theaters. My grandfather was a pilot and my uncle flew and restored planes, so that's been a big influence on me. Gwendoline Christie's Captain Phasma will also appear in the animated series. At the time, little was known about the secretive organization and its strength.
