Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey: 'Concrete interest' from other clubs

He did not score a league goal after February 17, with his form fading away toward the end of the campaign, but clubs such as Roma, Chelsea and Liverpool have reportedly shown interest.

We'll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming days but the report suggests that it will cost the likes of Liverpool or Chelsea £40m to tempt Leverkusen in to a sale this summer.

Despite remaining on the books with Die Werkself, Bailey has confirmed that Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as Serie A giants Roma, have all held serious interest in the young winger throughout the summer transfer window.

Bailey said: "There's concrete interest".

"What I can say is that my full focus is on developing myself as a young player, and that's what I'll focus on".

The 20-year-old scored nine goals in the Bundesliga last season but admits Bayer have their work cut out to cut the gap between themselves and the league's dominant side Bayern Munich.

"If a club wants me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of it".
