Roseanne Barr: ABC Fired Me Because I Voted For Trump

Barr lamented Hollywood's notorious double standard against conservative actors and actresses, noting ABC promptly canceled Roseanne before one sponsor bailed on the program because she supports Donald Trump. It is also not the only instance of the actor's hatred, as many instances of her bigotry have been noted in the past. As someone off camera talks her through the shot, she becomes agitated, yelling, "I'm trying to talk about Iran!" Goddamnit, I thought the bitch was white.

She started the statement out with Trumpian flair: "Hi, this is Roseanne Barr and I'd like to welcome you to my own studio, where I'm able to speak for myself to my fellow and sister Americans without the filter of the biased media".

In the short clip, she reiterates that she didn't realize Jarrett was black when she sent the tweet comparing the political strategist to an ape, so therefore she's not racist.

A source tells ET that the interviewer heard in the video is not Rabbi Schmuley Boteach, who interviewed Barr last month via his podcast.

"I said to God, 'I am willing to accept whatever consequences this brings because I know I've done wrong". I'm going to accept what the consequences are, ' and I do, and I have.' But they don't ever stop. "It's frightful", she said on the podcast. The network canceled Roseanne (which had stellar ratings, by the way), pulled re-runs, and green-lit a spin-off. When you hurt people even unwillingly there's no excuse. But I apologize to anyone who thought, or felt offended and who thought that I meant something that I, in fact, did not mean. "You've told me this 300 times". "And I regretted it before I lost everything".

ABC has since ordered a comedy series called The Conners that will feature the other Roseanne cast members but on which Barr will have no involvement.
