Manny Pacquiao open to Amir Khan clash and Floyd Mayweather rematch

"I'm surprised. Matthysse is a very tough opponent", Pacquiao said in a post-fight interview following a performance in which he showed glimpses of the spectacular form that catapulted him to the top of global boxing over a decade ago. "Boxing is my passion and I would be lonely if I quit boxing", he told reporters.

Pacquiao relinquished his World Boxing Organization welterweight belt to then-undefeated Horn which the Aussie then lost last month via TKO in the 9th round to American Terence Crawford, coincidentally the next man that comes in mind.

This was underscored yesterday by Rep. Mikee Romero (1Pacman Partylist) after witnessing how the fighting senator from Gen. Santos City summoned his once feared strength and dazzling speed to destroy Argentine Lucas Matthysse in their world welterweight showdown in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on "Super Sunday".

Pacqiuao, whose record now stands at 60 wins against seven losses and two draws, is still bitter about dropping the decision to Mayweather in their Las Vegas bout in one of the richest fights in boxing history. Pacquiao scored two knockdowns with his uppercut - one of the them in the seventh round that ended the fight in emphatic fashion. Mayweather has not fought since his lucrative clash with UFC's Conor McGregor but the fact he was lured out of retirement for that mega-fight, Pacquiao has left the door open should he feel similarly.

However he said he would relish another bout with Mayweather, who beat Pacquiao on points in 2015 and later retired undefeated. "There's a lot of potential opponents there, like Lomachenko, there are so many fighters that have potential to be my opponent next". The name Amir Khan, Pacquiao's former training partner under Freddie Roach has also been thrown into the fray as a "potential opponent".

"Still, I don't know yet", Pacquiao replied. If he wants to come back in boxing let's do a second one.

'I have the belt, so it's up to him.
