Jordan Henderson keeps getting texts from Jurgen Klopp during World Cup

Pickford only made his full England debut in November 2017, just seven months before the World Cup in Russian Federation, but he made crucial saves in the team's round-of-16 penalty shoot-out victory over Colombia.

England midfielder Jordan Henderson has admitted that he should be at full fitness ahead of their World Cup semi final against Croatia on Wednesday, claiming that he will have to overcome a slight hamstring injury.

Henderson's Liverpool they lost the League Cup and Europa League finals in 2016 and almost won the Premier League in 2013-14 having also lost an FA Cup final since their last triumph - the League Cup six years ago.

"So, I'm pleased for him that he's in a semi-final of a World Cup, but hopefully that journey for him ends tomorrow".

The 28-year-old has been a key player for the Three Lions in Russian Federation, following a fine season for his club as they made the Champions League final.

"I think that's the biggest thing so far to come out of it and we just want to continue doing everybody proud".

"I had a tiny hamstring issue from the last game but it was fine to play. Some of the through balls the other night were exceptional".

The 28-year-old has not tasted defeat in an England shirt since the last World Cup four years ago, going on a 30-match unbeaten run - the longest of any player in the country's history.

"I watched him a lot at Sunderland as a young player".

"He has absolutely emptied the tank for both England and Liverpool this year".

"People are starting to appreciate him now, whereas I've appreciated him all along". It's down to what we do behind the scenes, what we work on in training, all the hard work to get here.
