Saturday afternoon at Comic-Con, Warner Bros. finally revealed the hotly anticipated trailer and it feels par the course with everything else that's come out of the DC wing of WB.
The Hollywood Reporter said director James Wan wanted to wait until the visual effects were ready. Jason Momoa stars as Aquaman, with Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Willem Dafoe, Graham McTavish, Temuera Morrison, Michael Beach, Ludi Lin, and featuring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta. By the looks of things, he nailed the effect. Orm wishes to unite the seven underwater kingdoms to declare war on mankind for polluting the oceans, and Curry's half-human ancestry is also brought into the picture.

Our favorite shot from the trailer has to be the one of Aquaman descending into an army of razor-toothed fish men. In "The Trench", Aquaman discovers a a race of sea creatures who have been shut off from the rest of the ocean and have evolved into cannibals to survive. This movie looks like it puts fun first and foremost. Sandberg says over 100 actors went out for the part but, "When I saw his first tape, it was just ideal". The humor is a grand departure from other DCEU films like Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad. It kicks off with some backstory about Arthur Curry's parents.
