Warriors sweep away Cavaliers to repeat as National Basketball Association champions

The Cavaliers aren't. Their window of opportunity shut after Durant signed with the Warriors and Kyrie Irving forced his way out of Cleveland.

Brown is a two-time National Basketball Association coach of the year and two-time Emmy nominee who is working the finals for the 17th time as a radio and television analyst.

James was on the Cleveland team that lost 4-0 to San Antonio in 2007 as well.

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James revealed he played with a broken hand for the majority of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. He arrived at his postgame news conference with a large brace on his right hand from a "self-inflicted" injury. But it's worth wondering how limited James was, and how much fight it took out of him, particularly after he almost willed the Cavs to an improbable Game 1 win.

The Warriors blocked 13 shots in the game, with Curry and Durant joining Green with three apiece.

And they may stay that way.

"Looking at this playoff journey, we knew it wasn't going to be as easy as a year ago", Curry said.

Golden State outscored Cleveland 25-13 in the third quarter, James managing only four points, and the Warriors rolled through the final minutes. Durant, off his career personal best of 43 points, added 20 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as he locked down the MVP award.

Cavaliers superstar LeBron James look dejected but still managed to score 23 points, grab seven rebounds and collect 8 assists.

The Warriors completed their four victories in four games in the Finals to win their third title in four years, after they won 108-85 in Cleveland.

The health of James' hand likely would not have had much affect on the outcome of the series, a four-game sweep by the Warriors.

As mentioned before James can opt out of his contract and become a free agent this summer. James scored a post-season career-high 51 points in Game 1 of the series. Durant stated his case by registering his first playoff triple-double - 20 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists - two nights after nearly singlehanded destroying the Cavs with 43 points, a playoff career-high, and 13 rebounds.

"This is so hard to do and to do it three years out of four years is incredible", Warriors guard Klay Thompson said.

A decision for both of them is expected to happen at some point during the first two weeks of July. The Warriors blew them out in two of the final three games. "I still want to be in championship mode".

That set up another reunion with James and the Cavs. The way we played, the calls that were made throughout the course of that game.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Michael Cooper all played in a pair of swept-out defeats in the finals with the Los Angeles Lakers.

In an interview with ESPN's Rachel Nichols, James talked about his conversation with one of the game's greatest who has an even worse NBA Finals record than the Cavs star - The Logo, Jerry West.

Longtime network broadcaster Hubie Brown injured his knee while sitting courtside preparing before the game.

The 84-year-old Brown was checked out by doctors in the arena, and will not be working the game as an analyst.
