His passenger was also arrested and charged with resisting, delaying or obstructing officers.

Vince Vaughn was taken into police custody early Sunday morning, June 10, 2018.

Vaughn was released about 7 a.m. with a citation to appear in court.

According to TMZ, the Wedding Crashers star and his passenger were asked to step out of the vehicle but were uncooperative and refused to get out. This is Vaughn's first DUI offense.

Vaughn is best known for his role in "Swingers", alongside Jon Favreau.

The Blast reports an unnamed male was in the passenger seat at the time of the arrest, and was given the charge of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

TMZ stated that both men posted bail and have been released. CNN reports that Vaughn was stopped in Hermosa Beach outside of Los Angeles. In 2001, he he was arrested following a violent bar fight in Wilmington, NC, leading to assault charges against him which were eventually dropped.

It is unclear whether he's been formally charged, or where in the legal process the Wedding Crashers star finds himself now; multiple outlets have confirmed his arrest, though charges have been hard to pin down officially.

Vaughn's team didn't immediately return requests for comments by the entertainment news publications.
