Is this the strangest E3 2018 announcement so far? Given how poorly the Xbox performed in Japan, that's not a phrase that you hear that often. With that in mind, Devolver Digital has just announced that Metal Wolf Chaos XD will be coming to modern consoles. Players take on the role of Michael Wilson, the 47th President of the United States, after a coup d'etat led by his vice president, Richard Hawk.
During Devolver's typically freakish press conference, presenter Mahria Zook described Metal Wolf Chaos like this: "this motherfucking legendary piece of cold-rolled awesome was forged in the most sacred elements of videogame development: mechs, explosions and overly-dramatic voice acting". Battle in your advanced mech - armed to the teeth - across iconic American landscapes including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Canyon, and the front steps of the White House.More news: Kevin Durant says he would consider retiring at 35

Metal Wolf Chaos XD is infamous for being extremely "patriotic" - it's a game about America that never released outside of Japan, that seems to, perhaps, make fun of Americans.
This new "modernized" version of the classic mech shooter will feature updated visuals, refined gameplay, and support for 16:9 4K displays on all platforms.
