After Elon Musk presided over deliveries of the first batch of his tunneling company's flamethrowers, a handful of the devices have found their way to eBay where they are being offered at more than six times the original price.
The first 1,000 of these flamethrowers were handed out to customers at the company's offices in Hawthorne, California this weekend.
While it was interesting news from Elon Music and the Boring Company, we couldn't help but imagine having a flamethrower in our lives.
They were sold as gimmicky promotional items for Musk's tunnel-digging startup, The Boring Company.
But selling a flamethrower was a bit more challenging than selling hats. "When the zombie apocalypse happens, you'll be glad you bought a flamethrower".

Musk tweeted that the instruction manual drew its inspiration from Dr. Seuss' "Green Eggs and Ham".
Musk tweeted what he claimed was the terms and conditions for the machines, some of which he said are presented in the style of USA children's author Doctor Seuss. I will not use this in an unsafe way.
Some customers are already trying to turn a profit on the device.
As of Monday morning, multiple eBay listings show the device for anywhere between $US2,250 and $US5,000.
"Flamethrower (obviously) best way to light your fireplace/BBQ". And some see Musk's latest ploy as particularly reckless and insensitive.
"I love fire", a 28-year-old tech company owner told The Guardian after picking up his new flamethrower in a rectangular white box at SpaceX. "I bought something completely awesome and frivolous, so I'm going to also donate $1000 to the California Wildfire Relief Fund", he said on Twitter. It has been the most dramatic fundraising technique for The Boring Company by Elon Musk to date and it met its fair share of resistance as well.
