OnePlus 6: Notches Are Not For Everyone!

The OnePlus 6 live stream will begin at 9:30 PM (IST).

On the specs front, the smartphone will be offered in 3 variants depending on the RAM offered on it - 4GB, 6GB and 8GB.

When it comes to the pricing, the source reveals that the Sandstone Black protective case could be priced at Rs. 990. But before we dissect the 6T lets have a look at what we can expect from OnePlus's first flagship of 2018, set to launch globally today, at an event held in London.

For the past one month, OnePlus has been highly active on social media, releasing several teasers as well as an explainer for design and building materials used in the new OnePlus 6.

It's no secret that OnePlus partnered with Amazon to sell its smartphones in India, a major market for the Chinese smartphone maker. It will be followed up by an event in China tomorrow at 10am CST (7:30am IST), followed by an India launch event in Mumbai at 3pm IST the same day.

According to NDTV Gadget360 report, OnePlus 6 64GB variant will cost CNY 3,299 (roughly Rs 34,200), while its 128GB variant will be available with a price tag of CNY 3,799 (roughly Rs 39,300) and the 256GB variant will hit stores at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs 45,600).

In short, after some beta testing (OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 5) in the past two years, OnePlus did launch the OnePlus 3T with an improved chipset, a larger battery and a bumped up selfie camera and a OnePlus 5T with a drastically improved display and slightly better camera.

The phone would sport a notch-based screen of more than 6-inch, as earlier confirmed by the company's co-founder Carl Pei in an interview with technology-based online portal The Verge. In India, apart from launching the OnePlus 6, the company will also launch the OnePlus 6: Avengers Infinity War Edition that is expected to come with a different finish compared to what users will get on the regular OnePlus 6. Also, the hardware setup will be similar to that of the iPhone X and that the OP6 will make use of an infrared 3D camera module, which will be located on the front of the device.

I say first, because it clearly won't be the only one. In order to watch the live stream of the event the users can head to the official YouTube channel of the company. In October previous year, a report pointed out that the upcoming OnePlus 6 will sport an all-new design.

What if you want to buy the OnePlus 6? The device will be an Amazon exclusive and go on sale on May 21 for Amazon Prime members.

Performance wise, this will be the fastest OnePlus yet, and one of the fastest phones in the industry, too. Amazon had earlier announced the OnePlus 6 Fast AF sale under which it will allow customers to pre-book the OnePlus 6 from 13 to 16 May.
