HMD Global, the company that now holds the right to manufacture and sell Nokia phones, had scheduled a launch event in China last month on April 27th. The mid-range smartphone features a glass build and a full-screen display with a notch. Beneath the surface, the handset holds the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC. Dubbed as Nokia X6, the smartphone will go on sale in China from 21st May, for a starting price of 1,299 Yuan, which roughly converts to $204.
In terms performance, the Nokia X6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC coupled with Adreno 509 GPU.
The Nokia X6 features 4GB/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. The back of the device sports a dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel and a 5-megapixel camera sensor. The X6 is the first Nokia phone to sport a notch display and may be an indication of what to expect from future Nokia devices. The Nokia X6 will come with glass back body and will be available in Blue, Black, Silver, and White color options. Rs 18,100). The smartphone will be available on JD.com, Suning.com, and Tmall.com, with reservations opening today. All of the cameras are aided by some nifty AI tricks - background blur, face recognition, dynamic expression and filters. It also comes with Bothie feature to use the rear and front cameras at the same time.
Dimensions measure 147.2 x 70.98 x 7.99mm. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. A 3,000mAh battery completes the package. The onboard storage is 32GB and 64GB depending on the RAM.
