Chili's Grill & Bar appears to be the latest chain to fall prey to a data breach by thieves seeking payment card information.
"If you used your payment card at a Chili's restaurant between March - April, 2018, it does not mean you were affected by this incident", the company said in a statement.
The company said they believe the incident affects customers who made in-restaurant purchases between March and April of 2018. Nor how many people may have been impacted. The company said it is working with third-party forensic experts to understand the details of the incident.

It also said law enforcement has been notified of this incident.
"However, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend that you remain vigilant and consider taking one or more [.] steps to avoid identity theft, obtain additional information, and protect your personal information". Personal information such as Social Security numbers date of birth is not collected by the chain.

Credit fraud resolution and credit monitoring services will be provided to customers, according to the statement, but details have not been finalized.
