A man walked into Louie's Grill & Bar and opened fire, striking two people.

A man also broke his arm while trying to flee the terrifying shooting.

A gunman who wounded two people in an Oklahoma restaurant on Thursday was shot dead by a bystander when he walked outside the business, authorities said.

The civilian has not been identified, "but all I know is it was just a Good Samaritan, and it looked like he took the right measures to put an end to the awful incident", Mathews said.

The shooter's motives remained unknown, and his identity had not been released.

"We heard someone say, this man, yelling, 'Put down the gun, ' before the second shots", Morgan, another witness, said. Captain Mathews said that "it doesn't look like he knew anybody in the restaurant".

The bill "eliminates the current ability of Oklahoma law enforcement to distinguish between those carrying guns who have been trained and vetted, and those who have not", Fallin said, according to a statement.

The gunman was killed in the auto park of Louie's On The Lake after the shooting which left four people injured.

In April, a restaurant patron wrestled an assault-style rifle away from a gunman at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tenn. They were taken to a hospital and police said they were "expected to survive". "I would think more than likely they would not be filed on", Matthews said. "Evidently the shooter was in the tree line, and they were both shot by the front door".
