Two dead after plane crashes in Coshocton County

The emergency communication center was flooded with calls from people who heard an explosion just before 9 p.m.

It's not clear if the deceased was a man or a woman and his or her age is unknown at this time.

At this stage of the investigation, it has been determined that the aircraft had only one occupant.

Medina County Sheriff Randy Brown confirms that 68-year-old Carl Bray is the pilot identified in Sunday morning's fatal plane crash.

Zezlina was flying the plane when it went down. Albemarle County Police assisted state police overnight with scene security. Further south, in the Lynchburg area, tornadoes or severe straight-line winds tore through a residential area, damaging homes and toppling trees.

Edward Zelina and Linda O'Brien both died after the Beechcraft Bonanza Be33 aircraft they were in crashed about five miles east of Blissfield, State Highway Patrol said in a news release. It's unlikely that the wind alone would have brought it down.
