Samsung Galaxy S9 Active Specs leaked: Snapdragon 845, 4000mAh battery, more

The Samsung Galaxy S9 benefits from its smaller screen, though. The firm also said that despite a heftier price tag, Galaxy S9 Plus sales are higher than those of the Galaxy S9. After the phone's specifications, the renders of the Galaxy A6 has been leaked online, giving us a glimpse of the phone's design. While it likely won't do much to boost slow sales, it will pack some appealing features the current S9 and S9+ models lack. The Samsung Galaxy S9 might be the last of its name, as suggested by Samsung's mobile division chief DJ Koh that they have been thinking about "whether we need to maintain the S moniker or the numbering system".

What differentiates the S9 Active with the standard S9 is the battery.

As far as specifications go, the screenshot reveals the alleged Galaxy S9 Active will come with a 5.8-inch display with QHD+ resolution of 1440×2960 pixels.

No dates have been shared for the expected launch period; but as the previous S8 Active was launched sometime in the fourth quarter, we may see a similar launch timeframe. Like the Galaxy S9, the S9 Active will apparently feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Just like the Galaxy S9, the Active variant's main camera will be capable of switching between f/1.5 and f/2.4 aperture. Along with this, there could be 3 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage for the A6 while a 4 GB RAM + 64 GB storage for the A6 Plus. Again, the source of that claim is unclear.
