Jose Mourinho has ordered Manchester United's record-signing Paul Pogba to show greater consistency on the training ground. Pogba, who was outstanding in the 3-2 win at Manchester City eight days ago, has played his way out of a dip in form that led to him being dropped from United's first team earlier this year, and Mourinho wants to see his recent improvement maintained.
Mourinho added when pressed on whether victory over City was the most enjoyable of his United tenure: "No, I would prefer to lose this match and win the title, honestly".
"I just kept it simple and said "this is what you are" and "this is what you're good at", Carrick told Sky Sports about his chat with Pogba.
"So, if you ask me, I'm expecting Paul now to be man of the match every week? No. And the past two, three weeks I'm really happy with him".
"The first thing is stability at training level, stability during the working week".
Basement side West Brom have 21 points from 33 games and have lost eight of their last 10 matches but Mourinho said United had to remain cautious with their opponents desperate to secure points in a bid to ensure top-flight survival.More news: Blazers earn No. 3 seed, will face Pelicans in playoffs

Jose Mourinho is gearing-up for another busy summer of transfer activity as the United boss knows he needs to further strengthen his squad if they're to compete for major trophies next season.
"No. We are not going to spend more than we can", he said. "That's what we are going to try". "Three points in a hard match gives up better conditions between now and the end of the season to finish second, which is the position we want".
"But it is not about us and them, I think it is about the six teams".
"That's what we are going to try".
Manchester United are reportedly planning to outbid their city rivals, Manchester City to the signature of Brazil star, Fred this summer.
