James Comey Book Hits No. 1 in First Week

According to the New York Times, Comey's tell-all book, "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership" blasted through sales expectations after his media-hyped publicity tour; stopping by The View, The Late Show, and countless other liberal outlets.

Comey during an interview with ABC that aired Sunday night said Trump tried to obstruct justice when he urged Comey to drop his investigation into former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Why add Fitzgerald, you ask?

Through a spokeswoman, Fitzgerald confirmed that he "has been part of Mr. Comey's legal team since May 2017".

Comey and Fitzgerald have been close friends since the 1980s, when the pair worked together in the Southern District of New York's U.S. Attorney's Office.

The investigation will examine Comey's statements in August 2016 that no charges would be brought against Clinton and in October about the re-opening of the FBI investigation into her use of a private email server rather than a government server, potentially jeopardizing classified information. Former Vice President Dick Cheney's Chief of Staff Scooter Libby was convicted, though he was pardoned by Trump last week. Fitzgerald did not return TPM's requests for a comment.

Tuesday's book party had themed drinks with names like "Redacted" and "Deep State".

As for who would play him in a movie adaptation of his book?

Comey said thanks for the question but declined to elaborate on the subject. "Someone much shorter than I am".
