Donovan Mitchell Will Play in Game 2

Donovan Mitchell has been fantastic for the Utah Jazz throughout the season and that was the case again in his National Basketball Association playoff debut.

Mitchell impressed in his first playoff game, recording 27 points on 11-of-22 shooting and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes of action.

Later, after some hobbling along the sideline, Mitchell would head back to the visiting locker room for X-rays.

"I feel fine. I just stubbed my toe, nothing major".

Mitchell returned with 7:47 left in the fourth quarter but was subbed out about a minute later after making a jumper and grimacing as he ran back on defense. "I'm not limping", Mitchell said during Monday's practice. "But I was just being a baby, so I'm good".

For the Jazz's sake, here's hoping that's true.

After an MRI revealed a left foot contusion, Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell's status for Wednesday night's Game 2 versus the Thunder will be determined on Tuesday, the Jazz announced.

As soon as it became official that the Utah Jazz and Oklahoma City Thunder would be battling one another in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, Jazz fans knew their team was in for a tough series.
