Commonwealth Games: Number Of Missing Cameroonian Athletes Now Eight

Commonwealth Games Federation president Louise Martin announced on Friday triple jumper Rakesh Babu and race walker Irfan Thodi had been banned from the Games and ordered to return home immediately.

"The testimony of the athletes ... are both unreliable and evasive", Martin was quoted by the news agency as saying. The CGF said in a statement that both the athletes are not permitted to participate in the Games with immediate effect.

Five members of the Cameroon team competing in the Commonwealth Games on Australia's Gold Coast have gone missing.

Uganda on Thursday said two of their athletes attending the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia are missing.
