Vivo Carries Forward Pioneering In-Display Biometrics Tech to Sequel Smartphone


Mere hours after Oppo unveiled the R15 duo, vivo followed suit and announced its top-tier vivo X21 smartphone. There is a special variant with in-display fingerprint sensor.

On the front, they feature a 6.28 inches FHD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 19:9 due to the presence of iPhone X-like notch. This variant comes only In 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The device comes with a 13-megapixel main camera on the back as well as a 13-megapixel selfie camera on the front, and both cameras are equipped LED flash modules or better lighting when needed.

In the camera department, there are 24MP & 5MP dual cameras on the rear with f/1.8 and f/2.4 aperture respectively.

The Vivo Y85 includes a dual camera setup which includes a 13MP and a 2MP sensor for bokeh effect. The phone also supports microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone's storage capacity up to 256GB. The difference between the 64GB and 128GB is the fingerprint sensor, the former uses a traditional fingerprint sensor behind, while the latter has an integrated under-display fingerprint sensor just like the X20 UD. Vivo's Senior Vice President Shi Yujian took office and released the new brand image of the smart assistant which will serve as an embodiment of Vivo artificial intelligence assistant, giving you a brand-new one-stop product experience, allowing you to enjoy technology with temperature! Also, Vivo has introduced their virtual assistant- Jovi with these two smartphones.

The X21 has a 3,200 mAh battery with fast-charging support. The regular version comes in both the colors mentioned above, as well as a dazzling Aurora White and will be made available at stores from March 24. The X21 will go on sale on March 24th, and sales for the X21 UD will start on March 28th.
