On International Women's Day, we celebrate the many incredible contributions made by women of all ages in the United States and around the world. Progress can not be made without action, and we can not declare victory until we have collectively secured equality for women in every single corner of the world. "The global gender pay gap is 23 percent, rising to 40 percent in rural areas, and the unpaid work done by many women goes unrecognized". Although I see a lot of change in the environment for women entrepreneurs from 2011 when I started. In a time when the World Economic Forum's 2017 Global Gender Gap Report finds that "gender parity is over 200 years away", Press for Progress is this year's International Women's Day campaign theme. The dynamic illustrations featured on their site - that depict these women's power so beautifully - were created by designer Candice Massaria.

The Bring Back Our Girls #BBOG movement in Nigeria also seized the opportunity of the Women's Day to urge government to intensify its efforts in ensuring the release of the remaining kidnapped Chibok girls and recently kidnapped 110 Dapchi girls-pupils.
