First lady Melania Trump, bottom left, smiles at Sirikan Charoensiri of Thailand, after presenting the International Women of Courage awards, Friday, March 23, 2018, at the State Department in Washington.

Her closely watched public appearance came a day after a former Playboy model told the world details of a 10-month affair the model says she had with a married Donald Trump a decade before he was elected president. In the interview, Karen McDougal apologized to the first lady for the extramarital affair.

Melania Trump traveled to Air Force One without President Trump on the way to Mar-a-Lago and is expected to remain in Florida for Barron's spring break week.

Author and journalist Kate Andersen Brower, who covered the Obama White House, agreed during the CNN discussion that Melania Trump is aware of the hypocrisy charges, but said she apparently wants to go forward with the anti-cyber bullying effort anyway because "she believes in it".

In the photo, President Trump wore a black overcoat and a buttoned-down white shirt with a pinstriped tie, while the First Lady wore a black jacket with six large buttons and a mini black scarf.

Both of the girls have on backer's hats in the pictures, and another images shows Melania leaning over to watch Celia roll the chocolate chip cookie dough.

The first lady posts significantly less frequently than her husband on social media, and her tweets lack the bombast of the president. Nobody seemed to know what it was or where it was, so I told them not to run the credit card until I had the number. 'I'm really sorry for that. "But it will not stop me from doing what I know is right". "We got naked + had sex".

In recent weeks, controversies involving her immigration to the United States, son-in-law Jared Kushner and the special counsel's investigation into Russia's election meddling have continued to pile up and close in on the White House.

'There was a real relationship there, and I kind of out of sight, out of mind with everything else. But I still continued'.

Melania addressed the elephant in the room and acknowledged that people are skeptical of her discussing that subject. "I'm still waiting", he said. "I wouldn't want it done to me".
