Sixers' Markelle Fultz To Play Tonight After Missing 68 Games

Fultz (shoulder) has been cleared to play in Monday's game against the Nuggets, but will come off the bench, Derek Bodner of The Athletic Philadelphia reports.

The focus was on the individual performance of Markelle Fultz, who was making his first appearance since October 23.

"I'm so proud of him", Brown said.

Last month there was talk of Fultz missing the rest of the season, but the team has announced that he'll be available for tonight's game against the Denver Nuggets. "We will have to. certainly not judge tonight as the sole case of what to expect going forward". Simmons topped Allen Iverson to set the team rookie record for assists. "And we are just happy to have him back". Brett Brown said during media availability last week that the decision to play was mostly on Fultz and the former Washington product came to Brown and said that he's ready. Fultz then had his shot blocked twice on one possession early in the second quarter.

There's been a degree of intrigue surrounding Fultz's timetable, with indefinite information on his return emanating from both the 76ers organization and Fultz's camp. A few minutes later he showed fluid form on an 11-foot jumper, though the shot fell well short of the rim.

Fultz struggled with his mechanics when he did play, and his shooting form was widely mocked around the National Basketball Association.

The 76ers are now 42-30 with 10 games remaining and sit fourth in the Eastern Conference.

He won Rookie of the Year with the Detroit Lions in 2010, and made the Pro Bowl in four of his five seasons in the Motor City. Paul Millsap (16 points, nine rebounds) scored six consecutive points to get the Nuggets within 75-72 with 3:21 remaining in the third, but Philadelphia finished on a 10-2 run to enter the final frame leading by double digits.

"This is an opportunity just for him to get back out there and figure out what he is capable of right now", he said.

It has taken a long time, but "The Process" is working in Philadelphia and they can now look ahead to the next step of their progression as a team.
