The Merchant Alliance has also arrived to the Sea of Thieves as a new trading company.
The final Sea of Thieves beta is set to kick off today and run through Sunday, March 11th. And, unlike previous sessions that required players to join the Insider Program or pre-order the game, this beta is completely open to everyone.More news: F1 Pre-Season Testing 2018: Sebastian Vettel Sets Fastest Time at Barcelona

The final beta version of Sea of Thieves-an upcoming Xbox Play Anywhere title-is free to play for the next three days. Another new feature being tested in the beta is Skeleton Forts, which creates the opportunity for forts in the world to be occupied by skeletons. There's a new faction and news about Xbox One X enhancement. These special forts offer greater rewards for those who clear them out, but they're signified by large clouds hovering above them that are visible to all players. "It was incredible to be able to watch players live in Sea of Thieves for the first time, to see their adventures unfold first-hand and to hear the stories they had to share". Naturally, this means you may have to battle other players as well as skeletons for riches. If this happens, we will be sharing the latest news and status via the status page on Seaofthieves.com, and we will be sharing regular updates on Twitter from the official @SeaOfThieves handle. Everyone who has played in the Technical Alpha, Closed Beta or scale tests - anyone who has submitted ideas and feedback, filled out surveys, shared their stories or made friends in our world - we wouldn't be where we are without you, and we can not wait to see where this adventure takes us next.
Sea of Thieves launches for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on March 20th, 2018.
