Samsung to offer same-day repairs on Galaxy phones

New data from our Smartphone Mobile Internet Experience (Smix) tracker shows 78 per cent of Samsung's current customers believe they will stay with the brand when they get a new phone.

Samsung Electronics announced an agreement with the U.S. chain uBreakiFix to provide same-day repairs service for customers of its flagship smartphones. "If you break anything on your Galaxy S9, this video shows the process of me repairing and replacing all the major components".

According to Samsung, "walk-ins are always welcome" and uBreakiFix will offer "same-day repairs" for most issues.

With 300 uBreakiFix stores around the U.S., Samsung is dead set on making sure that your device is repaired and sent to you that very day so that you do not have to go through the trouble of bringing in a new device to set up. What's more, it says that most repairs can be completed in two hours or less, and are fixed on-site.

Galaxy owners will have the option to either schedule an appointment at a uBreakiFix location, or just drop the phone off without calling ahead.

Samsung said "the majority" of the continental United States population lives within a 30-mile radius of an authorized uBreakiFix service location.

The uBreakiFix locations working with Samsung will be working with genuine parts, and will utilize the same proprietary fix tools to bring your phone back to its fine day-one form.
