Footage posted online shows a woman in a black bikini on the horse in the extremely crowded nightclub. In the video, the horse is visible scared and falls to the floor at one point. Meanwhile, animal activists and people who generally think having wildlife in the club is a no-go have been tearing Mokai Lounge a new one on Facebook. Mayor Dan Gelber called the incident with the horse this week a "vile" act of animal cruelty.

Miami Beach Police tweeted Friday morning that the incident is being investigated.
"This is 2018, not Studio 54, and we know that horses are skittish animals who don't belong among the pounding music, shouting crowds, and flashing lights of a nightclub", People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said in a statement.
"We are looking at this from all angles now".
As weird as the incident is, it's not the first time that a horse has been an attraction at a United States nightclub. 'I've reached out to local law enforcement and am hoping to hear back.
