Though Cameron has not officially announced her retirement, she did hint about stepping away from the movie industry to work on herself at the Goop Wellness Summit previous year.
Between her two health and wellness books released in 2013 and 2016, Diaz's last film role was in 2014, when she played Miss Hannigan in Annie, and since 2015, she has been married to the Good Charlotte vocalist and guitarist, whose twin brother Joel is married to Nicole Richie.
Speaking at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars bash, Selma said the pair had been reminiscing about their 2002 film Sweetest Thing when Cameron spoke out. Blair added, "I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back".

Said insider also says, "Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she's just not interested. She is one of Hollywood's leading ladies, with blockbusters such as Charlie's Angels, Shrek and There's Something About Mary to her name. Hollywood also never quite looked at her the same way either.
"We women are objectified so much", Diaz said. News. "I felt the need to make myself whole".
