"I'm Done!" Cameron Diaz Retires From Acting


Wondering why you haven't seen Cameron Diaz on the big screen lately?

Though Cameron has not officially announced her retirement, she did hint about stepping away from the movie industry to work on herself at the Goop Wellness Summit previous year.

Between her two health and wellness books released in 2013 and 2016, Diaz's last film role was in 2014, when she played Miss Hannigan in Annie, and since 2015, she has been married to the Good Charlotte vocalist and guitarist, whose twin brother Joel is married to Nicole Richie.

Speaking at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars bash, Selma said the pair had been reminiscing about their 2002 film Sweetest Thing when Cameron spoke out. Blair added, "I mean, she doesn't need to make any more films, she has a pretty great life, I don't know what it would take to bring her back".

The Gangs of NY actress in an interview with Vogue revealed that it had become crucial to take life at her own pace after getting married at 41. She's happy." Said insider also says, "Cameron is constantly inundated with film scripts trying to tempt her out of retirement but she's just not interested. She recalled how the constant travel and life on film sets affected her.

She is one of Hollywood's leading ladies, with blockbusters such as Charlie's Angels, Shrek and There's Something About Mary to her name. Hollywood also never quite looked at her the same way either.

"We women are objectified so much", Diaz said. News. "I felt the need to make myself whole".

The star gushed about Benji in an interview with GOOP, telling founder Gwyneth Paltrow in June 2017: "I have a husband who is just my partner in life and in everything". Her career took off after appearing in 1994's "The Mask", with Jim Carrey.

But according to her close friend, Selma Blair (who may have accidentally spilled the beans), she believes it's time to hang up her acting boots as she's officially "done" with the industry.
