HUGE new feature coming soon, as Microsoft posts massive E3 update

The more diverse and inclusive character creation system will arrive in April for everyone - or this month if you are an Xbox Insider - according to a new report from The Verge's Tom Warren.

Microsoft has announced that E3 2018 this June will be Xbox's "biggest showing ever" since the company first made its debut at the event with the original Xbox in 2000.

The long-awaited Avatar update looks set for an imminent release, after Xbox executive Mike Ybarra was spotted using the feature online. This year Microsoft's press briefing, gameplay demos, and Xbox FanFest activities will all emanate from the Microsoft Theater, which happens to be right across the street from the Los Angeles Convention Center where the rest of the E3 2018 action will be going down.

Microsoft is planning to launch its new Xbox Live Avatars next month.

You can be sure that will mean an influx of new games to showcase the 4K capabilities of Xbox One X. But what about the long-rumored VR support?

Microsoft and Xbox will still have a presence at the main LACC with a Mixer booth where show attendees can stream games, interact with new titles, and catch up on the E3 news live.

What are you hoping for with Microsoft's new avatars? By most accounts, it wasn't an entirely smooth transition, but it appears to have given Microsoft an idea for E3 2018. Now, it seems like Microsoft will be creating a micro show of their own.

As of now, there's no telling what kind of surprises Microsoft has up its sleeves in terms of major reveals at E3 2018, as this will be the company's time to shine with gaming fans both in Los Angeles and those tuning in around the world.
