There are only a few days to go until the official launch of the device, so it's safe to assume that we will soon find out even more about the smartphone and its siblings. The Huawei Y9 (2018) has been unveiled in Thailand as reported by WinFuture.
On the back of the Huawei P20 Lite, a dual rear camera setup is visible. The device is available in three color options, the black, the blue, and the gold.
Huawei Y9 2018 features a 5.93-inch display with FHD+ resolution (2160 x 1080 pixels) and 18:9 aspect ratio. According to a report by GSMArena, the phone features a Kirin 659 SoC inside, a chipset we saw in the Honor 9 Lite.

As for the camera, the Y9 (2018) smartphone sports a setup similar to the Mate 10 Lite where we see a 16 MP primary camera along with a 2 MP secondary camera on the back, for better depth sensing. Furthermore, the 4,000mAh capacity of the battery will offer a pretty long runtime. On the front, we have the 16 mega pixel + 2 mega pixel configuration.
The phone has a fingerprint sensor on the back side and it's made out of the metal body. Pricing and availability details are unknown at the moment.
Meantime, Huawei is planning for the launch of its expected P20 series of smartphones.
The company is scheduled to launch the new flagship smartphones at an event on March 27.
